Caring Professionals

Lessons are taught by members of 
Akron Police and Fire Departments,
and the Burn Unit
from Akron Children's Hospital,
nurses, and other professionals, supported by caring volunteers.

Fun Experiences

Children have hands-on experiences with a Fire Truck and EMS Unit, 
Fire Safety House and Police Cruiser.
They enjoy art and craft projects, as well as story and snack time.
Every child takes home a bicycle helmet and Akron Safety Town T-shirt — and much more! 

​Practice Makes Perfect

​Everyday at Akron Safety Town
 children practice what they learn by riding bicycles in our specially designed courses, having time on the playground, watching a puppet show,
role-playing 911 emergency calls, 
singing songs and playing games that reinforce the lessons.
